Annual Rights & Licensing Forum 2022

The newly refurbished Stationers Hall provided the grand setting for the 2022 PLS Rights and Licensing Forum. The Hall, which was originally rebuilt after the Great Fire of London, was reopened in early July after a £7.5 million refurbishment in anticipation of the Stationers' Company's 350th anniversary next year.

The 2022 Charles Clark Memorial Lecture

The 2022 Charles Clark Memorial Lecture was the closing event at this year’s London Book Fair at Olympia London. The annual Memorial Lecture, and Book Fair highlight, celebrates and remembers the achievements of Charles Clark who was a publisher, lawyer, and eminent authority on copyright law.

London Book Fair 2022

Despite numerous challenges, the welcome return of the London Book Fair at the Olympia London proved to be a big success. In addition to formal meetings, the Fair was also host to countless unplanned catch ups and impromptu reunions as attendees bumped into old friends not seen since the start of the pandemic.

The 2021 Charles Clark Memorial Lecture focused on AI

In a revamped, virtual format, Judge Kathleen O’Malley of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and British author Tom Chatfield, discussed the development of Artificial Intelligence from both legal and ethical perspectives and considered its implications for copyright and copyright-based industries.
