PLS Code of Conduct endorsed by independent review

Walter Merricks has conducted a review of PLS's Code of Conduct, along with that of the UK's other Collective Management Organisations’ (CMOs). His final report indicated that there were "no issues" with the PLS Code.

In addition to reviewing compliance, Merricks' report also made recommendations for how to further develop the self regulation framework.

Merricks, commenting on the work done by Collective Management organisations (CMO's) in the UK, said:

"I am able to reach largely positive conclusions about the operation of the self regulatory regime. There has been clear evidence of cooperation involving CMOs both large and small, a determination to demonstrate high standards, and an anxiety that none of their colleagues should let the side down".
