PLS has moved office to London Bridge in central London. The new location - Shackleton House - is conveniently located for visitors, being opposite London Bridge main line and underground stations. As previously, the space is shared with CLA, ALCS and ERA.
Telephone numbers and e-mail addresses remain the same. The postal address is 5th Floor, Shackleton House, 4 Battle Bridge Lane, London SE1 2HX.
PLS sponsored a packed breakfast meeting at Barnard’s Inn on 27 September for senior figures in the publishing industry as part of the BookBrunch briefing series. PLS chief executive Sarah Faulder introduced Kwame Kwei-Armah, Artistic Director of the Young Vic theatre.
Mark Bide, PLS Chair since 2013 completes his term of office in May 2019.
Mark has had a long and fruitful association with PLS. He conceived of the service now known as PLS Account Manager and led the work on the rights valuation. He has been – in the view of the Board – an exemplary Chairman throughout his six years at the helm and has built excellent relations with ALCS and CLA.
The process to recruit his successor is now beginning. PLS are seeking someone with “a demonstrable record of leadership in substantial roles and proven chairing and board level experience.“ For more details of the role click here.
