CLA Licences for Further Education, and Training
- introducing digital originals?

CLA are holding a consultation on the development of the current CLA licence for Further Education.

This consultation aims to explore with you the opportunities and value of including digital material, and possibly website material, in the copiable repertoire for a future licence for FE.  The consultation will include details from a  licensee’s perspective of what colleges ideally require from their collective licence, and you’ll have an opportunity to comment on the proposed development (full agenda). Your input into this discussion is vital to ensure the licence is developed appropriately to publishers’ primary business, hence this invitation is open for publishers focusing on the FE sector.

In addition, the CLA is keen to explore  a new licence for the training sector, so if you publish training material your input would be greatly appreciated in the development of this new licence also.

The consultation  has been arranged for 2.00-5.00pm, Wednesday 24th February, at the CLA,  Saffron House, 6-10 Kirby Street, London EC1N 8TS

Please RSVP to Imogen should you wish to join this important discussion: i.forbes@pls.org.uk  / tel: 020 7299 7732
