Ian Russell is Chief Executive of the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP), the international trade association for non-profit society publishers and those that work with them. He has been working in the scholarly publishing industry since the early 1990s and before joining ALPSP was Head of Publishing at the Royal Society, the UK's independent national academy of sciences.
